Three Arrested in Triple Homicide 

Sheriff Neil Elks announced this morning that three individuals have been arrested in the armed robbery and murders which occurred at the Hustle Mart in Farmville on April 1. 

Antwan Andre Anthony, 29, of Bethel; Xavier Montel Shamble, 19, of Farmville; and a Farmville juvenile where brought in late last night for questioning.  Around 10:00 this morning,    all three were charged with three courts of Murder.

Anthony is also charged with three counts of first-degree kidnapping; three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon; conspiracy to commit robbery; possession of a firearm by a felon; and possession of stolen goods.  He is in the Pitt County Detention Center under no bond.   

Additional charges for Shamble are first-degree kidnapping; three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon; conspiracy to commit robbery; and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is in the Pitt County Detention Center under no bond. 

Also, in addition to the murder charges, the juvenile is charged with first-degree kidnapping; three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon; and conspiracy to commit robbery.  He remains in the Pitt County Juvenile Facility.

“After a physically and emotionally exhausting week, we are so thankful to have these individuals in our custody,” Sheriff Elks stated.  “Thank you to the men and women who have worked around the clock since Sunday evening and to the community and Crime Stoppers for playing such a valuable role in their capture.”

First appearance  for the suspects will be tomorrow morning at 8:00 at the Pitt County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
